The original "Arnie", introduced in 1982 as the world's first hybrid ana-digi diver's watch, became a cult classic practically overnight — helped considerably by Arnold Schwarzenegger wearing it on screen in both Commando (1985) and Predator (1987). This 40th Anniversary edition is a thoroughly worthy celebration of that icon.

The Seiko Prospex PADI 'Arnie' Hybrid Diver's 40th Anniversary, reference SNJ035P1, is a boldly characterful 46.9 mm stainless steel ana-digi professional dive watch with a black dial featuring LumiBrite analog hands and indices alongside a digital LCD display — the classic hybrid layout that started a revolution. The PADI-edition unidirectional bezel with its blue and white 60-second countdown scale is immediately recognisable to any diver. Founded in Schaffhausen, Switzerland in 1868, IWC has built its identity around engineering-led watchmaking with a strong emphasis on precision, anti-magnetism and robust construction. The Ingenieur collection traces its roots to 1955 and was famously redesigned in the 1970s by Gérald Genta — one of the most celebrated watch designers of the twentieth century. The current Ingenieur Automatic 40, introduced in 2023, draws directly from Genta's iconic Ingenieur SL reference 1832, reviving its distinctive round bezel with visible polygonal screws and integrated bracelet in a thoroughly contemporary package.

Founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Breitling has built its name on bold, instrument-grade chronographs with deep roots in aviation. The Chronomat is the brand's most iconic model — first introduced in 1984 in collaboration with the Italian aerobatic display team Frecce Tricolori, and still instantly recognisable today by its signature rider tab bezel and muscular, purposeful proportions.

The Breitling Chronomat 44, reference AB011012, is a well-executed 44 mm stainless steel sport chronograph with a nicely structured black dial featuring three crisp silver subdials in the classic panda configuration — a combination that is as legible as it is visually striking.
