TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16
TAG Heuer was founded in Saint-Imier, Switzerland in 1860 and built its entire identity around precision timekeeping for sport and motorsport. The Carrera, introduced in 1963 by Jack Heuer and named after the legendary Carrera Panamericana road race, has been the brand's most enduring chronograph reference for over six decades. The CV2014-0 is a special edition within the Calibre 16 Carrera family, distinguished by its anthracite dial with red chronograph accents — a colour combination that draws directly from the instrument panels of endurance racing cars.
Reference CV2014-0 is a 41 mm stainless steel automatic chronograph, 16 mm in thickness, with a polished and brushed case and pushers at two and four o'clock. The anthracite dial carries silver baton hour markers and luminescent hands, with three tone-on-tone grey subdials: a 30-minute counter at twelve, a 12-hour counter at six and a small seconds register at nine. The central chronograph seconds hand and subdial hands are finished in red — a well-executed contrast that gives the dial an immediately motorsport-inspired character. A date window sits at three o'clock. At its heart beats the TAG Heuer Calibre 16, based on the ETA Valjoux 7750, running at 28,800 vph with 25 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. The fixed black aluminium bezel carries an engraved tachymeter scale. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The watch is presented on a dark brown perforated leather racing strap with a stainless steel deployant clasp.
This TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 is in very good condition and comes with the new TAG Heuer box. It was serviced in both 2015 and 2025.
