TAG Heuer was founded in Saint-Imier, Switzerland in 1860 by Edouard Heuer, and built its reputation on precision timekeeping for sport — first in the world to produce a wristwatch chronograph accurate to 1/100th of a second, and official timekeeper for the Olympic Games across multiple editions. The Carrera, introduced in 1963 by Jack Heuer, remains the brand's most iconic reference: designed from the outset as a legible, no-nonsense racing chronograph, named after the legendary Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico. Reference CV2010-3 is a 41 mm stainless steel automatic chronograph, 16 mm in thickness, with a polished case and screw-in caseback. The black dial carries applied index hour markers and luminous sword-shaped hands, with three subdials arranged in the classic Valjoux layout: a 30-minute counter at twelve, a 12-hour counter at six, and a running seconds register at nine. A date window sits at three o'clock. At its heart beats the TAG Heuer Calibre 16, based on the ETA Valjoux 7750, running at 28,800 vph with 25 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve, visible through the exhibition caseback. The sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant. The fixed black aluminium bezel carries an engraved tachymeter scale for speed measurement. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The watch is fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp.
