The Rolex Submariner No Date, reference 124060, is a beautifully resolved 41 mm Oystersteel dive watch with a clean, symmetrical black dial — no date window, no Cyclops lens, just a perfectly balanced layout of applied hour markers and hands filled with Rolex's proprietary Chromalight luminescence for a long-lasting blue glow in low light. The black Cerachrom unidirectional rotating bezel is virtually scratchproof and fade-resistant, a detail that wears as well in ten years as it does today. At its heart beats the in-house Rolex Calibre 3230, a Superlative Chronometer-certified movement featuring the Chronergy escapement for improved efficiency, running at 28,800 vph with an impressive 70-hour power reserve and exceptional resistance to shocks and magnetic fields. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. Water resistance is rated at 300 metres, backed by a screw-down Triplock crown. The watch is fitted on the Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel with the Glidelock extension system and Oysterlock safety clasp.
