Doxa Sub 300T Sharkhunter
Founded in 1889 by Georges Ducommun in Le Locle, Switzerland, Doxa is one of the unsung heroes of Swiss watchmaking — a brand with a genuinely pioneering role in dive watch history. In 1967 the original SUB 300 changed the dive watch world forever, introducing the first no-decompression bezel and helium escape valve on a watch aimed at recreational divers. The SUB 300T Sharkhunter is the modern continuation of that legend, and among collectors it carries a cult status that few watches at this price point can match.
The Doxa SUB 300T Sharkhunter, reference 840.10.101.10, is a boldly executed 42.5 mm stainless steel professional dive watch with a pure matte black dial featuring luminescent baton hour markers and hands with Super-LumiNova — no numerals, no distractions, just maximum underwater legibility. The unidirectional rotating bezel carries Doxa's patented no-decompression dive time calculator, a functional detail that sets this watch firmly apart from watches that merely look the part. The helium escape valve is present and correct for saturation diving use. At its heart beats the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, decorated by Doxa, running at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 38 hours — a proven and dependable calibre. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial. Water resistance is an exceptional 1,200 metres, backed by a screw-down crown and caseback. The watch is fitted on the signature stainless steel Beads of Rice bracelet with a folding clasp featuring the iconic Doxa fish symbol and a wetsuit extension.
