Founded in Schaffhausen, Switzerland in 1868, IWC has built its identity around engineering-led watchmaking with a strong emphasis on precision and robustness. The brand produced its first pilot's watch in 1936 and has maintained a continuous presence in aviation timekeeping ever since — making the Pilot's Watch collection one of the most authentic in the industry. The Chronograph 41, introduced in 2022, brings IWC's first in-house chronograph movement to a more compact and wearable 41 mm case, without any compromise on technical depth.

Reference IW388111 is a 41 mm stainless steel automatic chronograph, 14.5 mm in thickness, with a screw-in crown and pushers at two and four o'clock. The matte black Type A dial carries white Arabic numerals, luminescent lozenge hands and the characteristic orientation triangle with two dots at twelve o'clock — a layout with direct roots in IWC's wartime B-Uhren pilot's watches. Three dark subdials display a 60-second register at six, a 30-minute counter at nine and a 12-hour counter at twelve, with a combined day and date window at three o'clock. At its heart beats the IWC Manufacture Calibre 69385, a column-wheel automatic chronograph movement running at 28,800 vph with 33 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve, decorated with Côtes de Genève and perlage and visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. The convex sapphire crystal carries anti-reflective coating on both sides and is secured against displacement by air pressure drop. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The watch is fitted on a black strap with IWC's EasX-CHANGE quick-release system and a stainless steel buckle.
