Panerai Luminor Power Reserve Titanium
Officine Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 as a supplier of precision instruments to the Italian Navy, and for decades its watches were produced exclusively for military use before opening to the public in 1993. The PAM00093 is one of the most distinctive and collectible references from Panerai’s early modern era — a titanium-cased Power Reserve produced only between 2001 and 2004, and the only configuration in which the iconic Luminor architecture was paired with a deep metallic blue dial. Titanium at this time was a bold material choice, giving the watch a darker, matte presence that sets it apart from the stainless steel PAM00090 it accompanied in the catalogue.
Reference PAM00093 is a 44 mm titanium automatic watch, 14 mm in thickness, with Panerai’s signature cushion-shaped two-part case and the lever-operated crown-protecting bridge on the left side. The slate blue dial carries luminous Arabic numerals at six and twelve alongside index hour markers and matching luminous hands — a construction that gives the dial the depth and legibility Panerai is known for. A small seconds register sits between eight and ten o’clock, a date window at three and a power reserve indicator at seven. At its heart beats the Panerai Calibre OP IX, a COSC-certified automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits above a solid titanium caseback. Water resistance is rated to 300 metres. The watch is presented with both the original black rubber strap with titanium deployant buckle and a cognac leather strap.
This Panerai Luminor Power Reserve Titanium is from 2003, is in near mint condition and comes as a full set.
