Panerai Luminor Power Reserve Automatic Acciaio
Officine Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 as a supplier of precision instruments to the Italian Navy, and for decades its watches were produced exclusively for military use before opening to the public in 1993. The PAM00090 is one of the most coveted references in the classic Luminor line — a limited edition of 2,200 numbered pieces that added a practical power reserve indicator to the iconic Luminor architecture without disturbing the essential character that makes Panerai so distinctive.
Reference PAM00090 is a 44 mm stainless steel automatic watch, 14 mm in thickness, with Panerai’s signature cushion-shaped two-part case and the lever-operated crown-protecting bridge on the left side. The black sandwich dial carries luminous Arabic numerals at six and twelve alongside index hour markers and matching luminous hands — a construction that gives the dial genuine depth and outstanding legibility in low light. A small seconds register sits at nine o’clock, a date window at three, and a power reserve indicator at five o’clock for a quick read of remaining autonomy. At its heart beats the Panerai Calibre OP IX, a COSC-certified automatic movement based on the ETA 7750. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits above a solid screw-down caseback. Water resistance is rated to 300 metres. The watch is presented with both the original orange rubber strap and a black leather strap, each with a stainless steel deployant clasp.
This Panerai Luminor Power Reserve Automatic is from 2008, is in very good condition and comes with the original papers and 1 year warranty.
