Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic Acciaio
Officine Panerai was founded in Florence in 1860 as a supplier of precision instruments to the Italian Navy, and for decades its watches were produced exclusively for military use before opening to the public in 1993. The combination of Italian design sensibility and Swiss movement engineering gave the brand an identity unlike any other in the watch world, and the Luminor Marina remains its most iconic expression. Reference PAM00104, introduced in 2002, is the definitive automatic version of that icon — blending the historic Luminor case with a self-winding movement for everyday wearability.
Reference PAM00104 is a 44 mm stainless steel automatic watch, 15.5 mm in thickness, with Panerai’s signature cushion-shaped two-part case construction and the instantly recognisable crown-protecting lever bridge on the left side of the case. The black dial carries luminescent stick hour markers and polished steel hands, with Arabic numerals at six, nine and twelve o’clock in keeping with the original Italian Navy specification. A small seconds sub-dial sits at nine o’clock and a date window at three o’clock. At its heart beats the Panerai Calibre OP III, a COSC-certified automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve, fitted with a Glucydur balance and Incabloc anti-shock device. The slightly domed sapphire crystal carries anti-reflective coating. The fixed polished stainless steel bezel frames the dial cleanly. Water resistance is rated to 300 metres. The watch is presented on a leather strap with a stainless steel deployment clasp.
This Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic is from 2005, is in near mint condition and comes as a full set with a full service!
