Founded in Schaffhausen, Switzerland in 1868, IWC has built its identity around engineering-led watchmaking with a strong emphasis on precision, anti-magnetism and robust construction. The Ingenieur collection traces its roots to 1955 and was famously redesigned in the 1970s by Gérald Genta — one of the most celebrated watch designers of the twentieth century. The current Ingenieur Automatic 40, introduced in 2023, draws directly from Genta's iconic Ingenieur SL reference 1832, reviving its distinctive round bezel with visible polygonal screws and integrated bracelet in a thoroughly contemporary package.

Reference IW328903 is a 40 mm stainless steel automatic watch, 10.8 mm in thickness, with a polished and satin-finished case and an integrated H-link bracelet. The aqua grid-textured dial shifts between blue and green depending on the light — a striking and technically demanding dial finish that gives the watch a distinctive presence. Rhodium-plated hands and applied hour markers are fully lume-filled, with a date window at three o'clock. At its heart beats the IWC Calibre 32111, running at 28,800 vph with a remarkable 120-hour power reserve, protected by a soft-iron inner case that shields the movement from magnetic fields. The flat sapphire crystal carries anti-reflective coating. The fixed bezel is secured by five polygonal screws in the true Genta tradition. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. The watch is fitted on the integrated stainless steel H-link bracelet with a low-profile butterfly clasp.

This IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 is from 2025,  in near mint condition and comes as a full set with factory warranty until April 2033.
