The black dial carries applied gold-tone indices and matching gold-tone hands filled with LumiBrite, with a red GMT hand for immediate second time zone reading, a power reserve indicator at eight o'clock, and a date window between four and five o'clock. At its heart beats the Grand Seiko Calibre 9R66, a Spring Drive movement combining automatic winding with a unique electromagnetic braking system that delivers an accuracy of ±1 second per day — serious specifications at this price point — along with a 72-hour power reserve. The dual-curved sapphire crystal sits above the dial without anti-reflective coating.
