The MR-G MRG-B5000R-1-DR is a high-end reinterpretation of the original 1983 square G-Shock. It features a 43.2 mm case crafted from titanium with a black DLC coating, paired with a COBARION bezel—an ultra-durable alloy that’s four times harder than titanium. The bezel is composed of 25 individually polished parts, allowing for a level of detail rarely seen in a digital watch.

It runs on Casio’s solar-powered module with Multi-Band 6 atomic timekeeping and Bluetooth connectivity. Functions include world time (39 cities), 1/100s stopwatch, countdown timer, 5 alarms, full auto calendar (to 2099), and Super Illuminator LED backlight. The dial and strap design reference the original brick pattern of the DW-5000C, while the fluoro-rubber Dura Soft strap integrates titanium components and features a titanium folding clasp.

With water resistance to 200 meters, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a case thickness of just 12.9 mm, this MR-G is both technically advanced and surprisingly wearable.
