The Santos de Cartier holds a special place in horological history as one of the world’s first pilot’s watches, originally created in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont.

The Cartier Santos de Cartier, reference WSSA0037, features a 39.8 mm stainless steel case with a polished bezel and the collection’s signature exposed screws. Its black dial with blued-steel sword-shaped hands and Roman numerals captures Cartier’s unmistakable aesthetic. Powered by the in-house Cartier caliber 1847 MC automatic movement, it delivers a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vph, ensuring both precision and reliability.

A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the watch is water resistant up to 100 meters. This model is equipped with Cartier’s “QuickSwitch” system, allowing easy strap changes without tools, and the “SmartLink” bracelet adjustment mechanism for optimal comfort. The watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp. The black rubber Cartier strap and an after market leather strap are coming with the watch as well.
