Launched in 2022, the Tudor Ranger 79950 emerges as a commendable nod to the Rolex Explorer, offering a slightly larger 39mm case compared to the traditional 36 or 40mm sizes.

This model boasts a more substantial presence, taking cues from the exceedingly sought-after Black Bay 58. It features an all-satin finish that reinforces its functional, tool-like aesthetic, save for a polished bevel along the rim for a touch of refinement. As it is not a dive watch, the Tudor Ranger forgoes a rotating bezel, yet it still achieves an admirable 100m water resistance—ideal for adventurous treks, perhaps through snowy terrain. The dial design is clean and easy to read, with prominent 12, 3, 6, and 9 numerals, while the remaining hours are marked by baton indices, all infused with luminescence. The hands are also lumed, and in a departure from Tudor’s typical Snowflake design, the watch sports a vintage-inspired arrow hour hand. In a purist's delight, the watch eschews a date function, maintaining an uncluttered display.
