The original "Arnie", introduced in 1982 as the world's first hybrid ana-digi diver's watch, became a cult classic practically overnight — helped considerably by Arnold Schwarzenegger wearing it on screen in both Commando (1985) and Predator (1987). This 40th Anniversary edition is a thoroughly worthy celebration of that icon.

The Seiko Prospex PADI 'Arnie' Hybrid Diver's 40th Anniversary, reference SNJ035P1, is a boldly characterful 46.9 mm stainless steel ana-digi professional dive watch with a black dial featuring LumiBrite analog hands and indices alongside a digital LCD display — the classic hybrid layout that started a revolution. The PADI-edition unidirectional bezel with its blue and white 60-second countdown scale is immediately recognisable to any diver. This example is presented with a RSV shroud fitted, giving it an even more purposeful and aggressive wrist presence — the original black shroud is included, allowing the owner to switch between both configurations at will. Powering the watch is the Seiko solar Calibre H855 — a hybrid solar quartz movement with alarm chronograph, digital timekeeping functions and LED illumination. A Hardlex crystal protects the dial. Water resistance is rated at 200 metres. The watch is fitted on a stainless steel bracelet.
