Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch
Founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Omega is known for its precision chronographs and historic role in space exploration. The Speedmaster collection represents one of the most iconic chronograph lines ever produced, closely associated with NASA missions and lunar history.
This Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, reference 145.022-69ST, is a highly collectable vintage chronograph from the early 1970s. The watch features a 42 mm stainless steel case that remains unpolished, paired with an original black dial and hands showing a warm and even patina. The DNN bezel (Dot Next to Ninety) is an original service replacement bezel and is in very good condition. The caseback is the period-correct "Straight Writing Flight Qualified by NASA", an original Omega service caseback version used in 1971 and 1972 for the last 69-ST model before the 145.022-71 came with the "smooth Medallion" Moonwatch casebacks.
Powered by the Omega caliber 861 manual-winding movement, it offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours, a frequency of 21,600 vph, and functions including chronograph. A hesalite crystal protects the dial, maintaining its authentic vintage character. The watch is fitted on an Omega stainless steel bracelet, reference 1171/000 with 633 endlinks, in new and unworn condition at full length.
This Speedmaster Moonwatch 69ST is dated from 1972 (serial 3132xxxx), is in very good vintage condition. It has been serviced recently (no invoice) and runs very accurately. Comes with an Omega service box and Q-Watches Goldcard. Very collectable and cool vintage Speedmaster!
