Omega Speedmaster Date
Omega was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 and has built one of the most storied reputations in watchmaking — as official timekeeper of the Olympic Games, as the watch worn on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, and as a brand with a genuine history of precision timekeeping under extreme conditions. The Speedmaster Date is the automatic sibling of the hand-wound Moonwatch Professional, sharing the same iconic case architecture while offering the additional convenience of automatic winding and a date function.
Reference 3513.30.00 is a 39 mm stainless steel automatic chronograph, 14 mm in thickness, built on the classic Speedmaster case with its distinctive lyre lugs. The silver dial carries applied baton hour markers and luminescent hands, with three subdials in the Valjoux layout: a 30-minute counter at twelve, a 12-hour counter at six, and a running seconds register at nine. A date window sits at three o'clock. At its heart beats the Omega Calibre 1152, based on the ETA Valjoux 7750. The sapphire crystal carries an anti-reflective treatment on the inner surface. The fixed polished stainless steel bezel carries an engraved tachymeter scale. The watch is fitted on a brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp.
