Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface
Founded in Le Sentier in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre is among the most technically accomplished manufactures in Switzerland — a brand that designs and produces its own movements, tools and machine components entirely in-house. The Reverso, created in 1931 for British polo players who needed a watch that could survive a match, has grown into one of the most architecturally distinctive designs in watchmaking history. The Duoface adds a second complete dial to that reversible case — transforming the protective swivel mechanism into a genuine dual-time complication.
Reference Q2718410 is a 42 x 26 mm stainless steel manual-winding dual-time watch, just 9.5 mm in thickness, with the signature Art Deco gadroons and a pusher at two o'clock to control the reverse dial's time zone function. The front dial is silver guilloché, carrying black Arabic numerals and blued sword-shaped hands, with a small seconds subdial at six o'clock. Flipping the case reveals a black guilloché Clous de Paris reverse dial with luminous hands and indices, a dual-time subdial and a day/night indicator at six — allowing a second time zone to be read at a glance. At its heart beats the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 854/1, a manual-winding manufacture movement with a 45-hour power reserve. The sapphire crystal protects both dials. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. The watch is presented on a brown leather strap with a stainless steel deployant clasp.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duoface is in near mint condition and comes as a full set.
