Powered by the IWC caliber 79320 automatic chronograph movement (based on the Valjoux 7750, with 25 jewels, 44 hours of power reserve, and a 28,800 vph frequency), it provides chronograph functions with central seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters, small seconds, and a day and date display at 3 o’clock.

A convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial and is secured against displacement by sudden drops in air pressure.
