Reference SBGE201 is a 44 mm stainless steel automatic GMT watch, 14.7 mm in thickness, with a Zaratsu-polished and faceted case construction. The black dial carries applied LumiBrite hour markers and broad arrow-style hands, with a central red GMT hand — a colour chosen to evoke the sparks of the Kiribi ceremony, a traditional Japanese blessing for travellers — alongside a power reserve indicator between eight and nine o'clock and a date window at four o'clock. At its heart beats the Grand Seiko Calibre 9R66, a Spring Drive GMT movement delivering ±1 second per day accuracy and a 72-hour power reserve. The dual-curved sapphire crystal carries anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. The unidirectional rotating bezel features a 24-hour sapphire crystal insert, allowing a third time zone to be read simultaneously alongside the GMT hand and the 24-hour ring on the dial. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres. The watch is supplied with both a stainless steel bracelet and a black rubber strap, each with a three-fold push-button clasp.
