The Breitling Superocean Automatic 44, reference A17376, is a well-executed 44 mm stainless steel professional dive watch with a clean blue dial featuring broad luminescent Super-LumiNova indexes and squared-off hands — a layout directly inspired by the original Slow Motion design codes and optimised for maximum underwater legibility. The unidirectional rotating bezel carries a black ceramic insert, virtually scratchproof and fade-resistant — a meaningful upgrade over earlier aluminium versions. At its heart beats the COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 17, based on the ETA 2824-2, running at 28,800 vph with 26 jewels and a power reserve of approximately 38 hours — a proven and dependable movement. A cambered sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the screwed-in caseback and screw-locked crown ensure solid water resistance rated at 300 metres. The watch is fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp featuring micro-adjustment for a precise fit.
