Founded in 1884 by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, Breitling has always built watches with a clear purpose and an uncompromising character. The Colt collection was originally developed for the armed forces in the 1980s, built around straightforward legibility, rugged reliability and serious water resistance — values that remain as relevant today as they were then.

The Breitling Colt Automatic 44, reference A17388101C1A1, is a well-executed 44 mm stainless steel sport watch with a striking Mariner Blue dial featuring applied luminescent index hour markers, luminescent hands, a red-tipped seconds hand and a date display at 3 o'clock — a boldly confident colour choice that gives this Colt a strong and distinctive character on the wrist. The unidirectional rotating bezel with four rider tabs is both practical and immediately recognisable as a Breitling design detail. At its heart beats the COSC-certified Breitling Calibre 17, based on the ETA 2824-2, running at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of approximately 38 hours — a solid and dependable movement. A double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial. Water resistance is rated at 200 metres, backed by a screw-down crown. The watch is fitted on the Breitling Professional III stainless steel bracelet with a folding safety clasp.

This Colt Automatic 44 is from 2020, is in near mint condition and comes as a full set. There is a link of the steel bracelet missing. Will fit a wrist up to 18,5cm.
