Founded in Saint-Imier in 1884, Breitling built its global reputation on precision chronographs for aviation and professional use. The Chronomat, originally developed in 1983 in collaboration with the Italian Frecce Tricolori aerobatic display team and relaunched with an in-house movement in 2009, is the model that defines Breitling’s character most completely — bold, mechanical, and built without compromise. The current B01 42 generation is the most accomplished Chronomat ever produced, combining the iconic case architecture with a fully in-house manufacture chronograph movement.

Reference AB0134101B1A1 is a 42 mm stainless steel automatic chronograph, 15.1 mm in thickness, with a brushed and polished case and the signature unidirectional rotating bezel with four rider tabs. The black dial carries polished applied stick hour markers and luminescent hands alongside three silver subdials: a 60-second register at three, a 30-minute counter at nine and a 12-hour counter at six, with a date window between the subdials at six. The black outer flange carries a tachymeter scale. At its heart beats the Breitling Manufacture Calibre B01, a column-wheel automatic chronograph movement with vertical clutch and COSC certification, delivering 70 hours of power reserve — visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. The cambered sapphire crystal is glareproofed on both sides. Water resistance is rated to 200 metres. The watch is fitted on the signature Rouleaux stainless steel bracelet with a push-button folding clasp.
