Founded in Geneva in 1883, Alpina has built its identity around robust, legible and technically serious watches for active use — originally for alpine sports, later for aviation. The Startimer Pilot is the brand’s most direct expression of that philosophy: a pilot’s tool watch that draws on the long tradition of large-cased, highly readable cockpit instrument watches. The AL-725B4S6B is the black dial variant — the most purposeful and dramatic configuration in the collection.

Reference AL-725B4S6B is a 44 mm stainless steel automatic chronograph, 15 mm in thickness, with a brushed case and screw-down crown. The matte black dial carries bold luminescent Arabic numerals and a bi-compax layout: a 30-minute counter at twelve and a 12-hour counter at six, with a central seconds hand and a date window at three o’clock. At its heart beats the Alpina Calibre AL-725, based on the ETA Valjoux 7750, running at 28,800 vph with 25 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal carries anti-reflective coating. The fixed stainless steel bezel keeps the case clean and purposeful. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
